We welcome and value children as an integral part of the meeting. Our First Day School program is held on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM from September to June.
For the 2009-2010 school year, our opening event is Game Night/Sleepover scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 5;00 PM. This event provides a great opportunity for our kids to share what they did over the summer and helps them integrate back into the school year program. Our curriculum for the coming year will be based on Quaker Queries. These Queries are the tenants of our faith and will be taught through age-appropriate stories (both biblical and non), games crafts and other techniques.

Purchase Meeting isn’t just a regular meeting. It’s a place full of wonderful people, that have joy in their hearts. When a new person comes to our meeting we always welcome them.
We have an adult who takes care of children under 5, First Day School for children under 15 and the Teen Group for children under 18. After the First Day School program, the children join the adults at the end of the meeting for worship.
At the rise of meeting we have a custom to go around and introduce ourselves. So if you’re new everyone will know your name. We also share announcements at that time.
After meeting we have a time to hold people in the light that died, are very sick or hurt any body parts.
At the end we have something called Coffee Hour when we eat very good treats that people brought to share. Then people start to leave.
We also go on trips to Powell House, William Penn’s home and other exciting trips.
That’s why I love Purchase Friends Meeting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
